Welcome to Virtual Scoreboard!
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Virtual Scoreboard mobile applications, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”), developed and operated by Leonardo Albregard Bortolotti (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Virtual Scoreboard, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue using the Service.
Please read these Terms carefully, particularly the sections concerning subscriptions, free trials, automatic renewals, and in-app purchases.
1. About Virtual Scoreboard
Virtual Scoreboard is a sports scorekeeping application designed to help users track scores, game time, statistics, and other match-related information across a wide variety of sports and games.
The Service is available through iOS and Android applications, compatible devices such as Apple Watch where supported, and our website at virtualscoreboard.app.
Depending on the platform, device, and application version, features may include:
- Sport-specific scoreboards and game timers.
- Customizable scores, team names, colors, and settings.
- Match statistics and coaching tools.
- Live Scores for sharing and following games.
- Apple Watch integration and supported remote-control features.
- Additional features available through in-app purchases.
Some features may require an internet connection, compatible hardware, or a specific operating system version.
Feature availability may vary between iOS, Android, Apple Watch, and the website.
2. Eligibility and Acceptable Use
You agree to use Virtual Scoreboard responsibly and in compliance with applicable laws.
If you are under the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Service where required by law.
The Service is not specifically directed at children under 13 years of age.
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activities.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or compromise the Service or its infrastructure.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data.
- Use automated tools to overload or abuse the Service.
- Publish content that infringes the rights of others or violates applicable laws.
- Misuse Live Scores or other sharing features to disclose another person’s private information without authorization.
We reserve the right to restrict access to certain features when reasonably necessary to protect the Service, other users, or applicable legal rights.
3. Free Features and Advertising
Virtual Scoreboard offers free features that may be supported by advertising.
Advertisements may appear within the mobile applications or website, depending on the platform and the user’s purchase status.
Some paid products provide an ad-free experience within the applicable supported application.
Purchasing an ad-removal product does not necessarily remove advertising from external websites, third-party services, or other platforms unless expressly indicated at the time of purchase.
Advertising availability, formats, and frequency may change over time.
For information about advertising-related data practices, please review our Privacy Policy.
4. Premium Features and In-App Purchases
Virtual Scoreboard may offer optional purchases that unlock additional functionality, remove advertising, or provide other benefits.
Available purchase options may include:
Monthly Subscription
A recurring subscription billed approximately once per month according to the billing period established by the applicable app store.
Annual Subscription
A recurring subscription billed approximately once per year according to the billing period established by the applicable app store.
Lifetime Purchase
A one-time, non-recurring purchase that provides access to the features included in the purchased Lifetime product, without additional subscription renewal charges for that product.
The Lifetime purchase does not expire on a monthly or annual schedule. It is intended to provide access to the purchased features for the supported lifetime of Virtual Scoreboard, subject to continued availability of the application, applicable platform requirements, and consumer protection laws.
Lifetime does not mean that external services, operating systems, or third-party integrations are guaranteed to remain available indefinitely.
The exact features included with each purchase are described in the application and on the purchase screen at the time of the transaction.
Pricing, available products, and included benefits may vary by platform, country, currency, or promotional offer.
5. Free Trials and Introductory Offers
Eligible users may be offered a free trial or another introductory promotion when subscribing to a Monthly or Annual plan.
Free trial availability and duration may vary depending on the subscription, platform, region, promotional campaign, and eligibility determined by Apple or Google.
The applicable free trial duration, subscription price, and billing period are displayed before purchase confirmation.
If you start a free trial, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel it before the trial expires.
After the free trial ends, the subscription will be charged at the price and frequency disclosed during the purchase process, unless you have canceled in time.
Free trials may be limited to eligible users who have not previously redeemed an introductory offer for the relevant subscription or subscription group.
Uninstalling Virtual Scoreboard does not cancel an active free trial or subscription.
To avoid charges, you must cancel the subscription through the applicable app store before the free trial ends, following that store’s cancellation requirements.
6. Subscription Billing and Automatic Renewal
Monthly and Annual subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled.
Payment is charged through the Apple App Store or Google Play using the payment method associated with your store account.
The exact price, currency, billing frequency, introductory offer terms, and applicable taxes are disclosed by the respective store before you confirm a purchase.
Subscriptions generally renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled before the renewal, subject to the applicable store’s policies.
Subscription prices may change. Any price changes will be communicated and implemented in accordance with applicable laws and the relevant app store’s requirements, including obtaining consent where required.
You are responsible for managing your subscription through the store account used to purchase it.
Virtual Scoreboard does not directly manage your Apple or Google payment credentials.
7. Managing and Canceling Subscriptions
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the app store where it was purchased.
Apple App Store
Open your device’s Settings, tap your name, select Subscriptions, choose Virtual Scoreboard, and follow the cancellation instructions.
Manage Apple SubscriptionsGoogle Play
Open Google Play, access Payments & subscriptions, select Subscriptions, choose Virtual Scoreboard, and follow the cancellation instructions.
Manage Google Play SubscriptionsCanceling a paid subscription generally prevents future renewals, while access to paid benefits continues until the end of the current paid billing period, unless applicable laws or store policies provide otherwise.
Canceling during a free trial may end trial benefits according to the policies of the store through which the subscription was obtained.
Deleting or uninstalling the application does not automatically cancel a subscription.
If you cannot find your subscription, ensure you are signed in to the Apple or Google account originally used for the purchase.
8. Payments, Refunds, and Purchase Restoration
In-app purchases are processed by the applicable platform, including Apple or Google.
Refund requests are subject to the applicable app store’s refund policies and consumer protection laws.
- For Apple purchases, visit Apple — Request a Refund.
- For Google Play purchases, visit Google Play — Refund Help.
Refund eligibility may depend on the nature of the purchase, time since purchase, location, and applicable law.
If a refund or payment reversal is completed, access to the refunded paid benefits may be revoked.
Where supported, previously purchased products can be restored using the Restore Purchases functionality in Virtual Scoreboard.
Purchase restoration generally requires the same store account used for the original transaction.
Purchases and subscriptions are associated with the applicable store account and may not automatically transfer between iOS and Android.
Family Sharing or similar sharing functionality may be available for eligible purchases where enabled and supported by the applicable platform.
Please contact our support team if you experience difficulties restoring purchases or accessing benefits you have already paid for.
9. Apple Watch and Platform-Specific Features
Certain Virtual Scoreboard features are available only on specific platforms or compatible devices.
Apple Watch functionality, for example, is available only on compatible Apple devices and requires the appropriate application, operating system, and supported configuration.
Apple Watch functionality is not available through the Android application.
Some features may depend on Apple, Google, or other third-party technologies and can be affected by changes to their respective platforms.
We may update, adapt, or discontinue individual integrations when required by technical limitations, compatibility changes, or the availability of third-party services, while respecting applicable consumer rights and obligations associated with paid purchases.
10. Live Scores and Shared Content
Virtual Scoreboard may allow users to share match information, scores, or other game-related data through Live Scores and associated features.
If you choose to share a match publicly, some information may become visible to other users, including information displayed through a map or shared access code.
Where location-based sharing is enabled, a match may appear as a marker on a map for a limited period, currently up to approximately six hours. Map markers may be removed automatically after that period, but their removal does not necessarily delete locally stored match information or other associated data.
Live Scores and related sharing features may require internet access and may be subject to availability, network conditions, and technical limitations.
You are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of the match information you enter or share.
You should not include personal, sensitive, or confidential information in publicly shared match names, team names, descriptions, or other fields.
You must have the necessary rights or permissions for any content you share.
By sharing content through the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process, transmit, display, and store that content solely as reasonably necessary to operate and provide the requested Service, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
We do not guarantee that user-generated scores, match results, or statistics are complete, accurate, or officially verified.
11. Data, Storage, and Service Availability
Virtual Scoreboard is designed to make scorekeeping convenient, but we cannot guarantee that all data will always remain available or that the Service will operate without interruption.
Certain game data and preferences may be stored locally on your device.
Depending on the feature, platform, and application version, data may not be automatically backed up or synchronized across devices.
You are responsible for maintaining any records or backups you consider important where the Service does not provide a dedicated backup or synchronization feature.
Network interruptions, device failures, operating system updates, application errors, or changes to third-party services may affect the availability of some features or stored information.
Although we work to maintain and improve reliability, Virtual Scoreboard should not be treated as the sole authoritative record of an official sporting competition.
Users organizing official events should maintain appropriate independent records when necessary.
12. Intellectual Property
Virtual Scoreboard, including its original software, design, interfaces, graphics, branding, and related content, is owned by Leonardo Albregard Bortolotti or its respective licensors, except where otherwise indicated.
The Service and its content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Virtual Scoreboard for personal or otherwise lawful purposes in accordance with these Terms and the applicable platform’s license conditions.
You may not reproduce, redistribute, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit protected parts of the Service without authorization, except where permitted by applicable law or third-party license terms.
Sport names, third-party trademarks, and other referenced brands remain the property of their respective owners.
13. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us.
Our handling of personal information, device identifiers, analytics, advertising-related data, and other information is described in our Privacy Policy.
Please review it here: Virtual Scoreboard — Privacy Policy.
By using the Service, you acknowledge that applicable data processing practices are described in the Privacy Policy, including any choices or consent mechanisms required by law.
14. Third-Party Services and App Store Terms
Virtual Scoreboard may rely on third-party services for app distribution, payments, advertising, analytics, crash reporting, and other functionality.
These services may be subject to their own terms, license agreements, and privacy policies.
Apple App Store
For applications downloaded through the Apple App Store, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) applies unless a separate custom EULA has been established.
You can review Apple’s Standard EULA here: Apple — Standard End User License Agreement.
These Terms of Use supplement the applicable Apple license agreement. In the event of a conflict concerning the application license, the applicable license agreement will govern to the extent required by law.
Google Play
For applications downloaded or purchased through Google Play, Google’s applicable Terms of Service, payment terms, and purchase policies also apply.
You can review the official Google Play Terms of Service here: Google Play — Terms of Service.
Google Play’s Terms of Service govern the use of the Google Play platform and applicable transactions. These Virtual Scoreboard Terms of Use establish additional conditions governing the use of our application and related services.
Where applicable, purchases, subscriptions, cancellations, and refunds are also subject to the policies of the relevant app store and mandatory consumer protection laws.
Apple and Google are not responsible for operating Virtual Scoreboard’s independent services or providing developer-specific customer support, except as required under their respective agreements and applicable laws.
15. Changes to the Service and These Terms
We may update, improve, or modify Virtual Scoreboard from time to time, including introducing new features, correcting errors, improving compatibility, and changing how certain functions operate.
We may also update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, applicable laws, or business practices.
When these Terms are updated, the revised version will be published on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
For material changes, we will provide any additional notice required by applicable law.
Changes to these Terms will not retroactively remove legal rights or valid purchase entitlements in a manner prohibited by applicable law.
If you disagree with updated Terms, you may stop using the Service and manage any active subscription through the applicable app store.
16. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability
Virtual Scoreboard is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by applicable law.
We make reasonable efforts to maintain the Service, fix errors, and provide accurate scorekeeping features, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free operation.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from temporary interruptions, inaccurate user-entered information, device failures, or third-party service outages.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence where applicable, or mandatory consumer protection obligations.
Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable law.
17. Governing Law and Consumer Rights
These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Brazil, where Virtual Scoreboard is developed and operated, except where mandatory applicable laws require otherwise.
Because Virtual Scoreboard is available internationally, users may also be entitled to protections under the laws of their country or region of residence.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict, or override mandatory consumer protection rights that apply to you under the laws of your jurisdiction.
In particular, where applicable consumer protection laws grant you rights or remedies that cannot be waived by contract, those rights and remedies remain fully applicable regardless of the choice of Brazilian law.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of the Service will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the jurisdictional rules governing the parties.
Nothing in these Terms requires consumers to waive their right to seek remedies before competent courts, regulatory authorities, or consumer protection bodies where such rights are guaranteed by applicable law.
